The global sanitation system was built to move waste away — into sewer networks & septic tanks. It was never designed to recover what waste contains: nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, organic carbon. All of the nutrients we pull from the soil to grow food, we flush away, at great cost.
Virro is building the toilet that starts a different chain. One where human waste becomes finished compost and stabile odorless fertilizer. One where the nutrients we eat return to what we grow. A closed loop, starting at the most ordinary fixture in the home.

The reason composting toilets fail is that urine and feces are mixed. Separate them at the source and every problem downstream — odor, slow decomposition, regulatory complexity — becomes manageable.
Every nutrient that leaves as waste should return as resource. We are building the technology and the partnerships — compost buyers, farms, urine fertilizer off-takers — to make that loop real, not theoretical.
Sustainable sanitation should not feel like a compromise. Virro toilets are designed to be better than what they replace — in comfort, in smell, in aesthetics — not just more ecological.
